So I still don't feel better, but this time the reason for that is quite different. On Sunday night, while driving past a local liquor store, we saw about a dozen police cars. This is all about 3 and a half blocks from my home. As I looked over, I believed that I had seen a body on the ground. Sure enough there was a shooting in my area.
This is what bothers me. My neighborhood has no clubs, no theaters, nothing of that sort. No reasonable person would want to spend their Sunday night in my neighborhood. There aren't even parties(that I see) in our area.
So this leaves the neighborhood where? Wondering if the person who lives next door is a murderer? It's chilling for me, especially since there are a group of "hoods" that hang around our grocery store at night, bothering people. And if that is true, should I call the tip hotline and let them know that there is such a group of young men, always blasting their music in front of the store front. I don't know how well I will sleep at night knowing that the neighborhood that I have spent the last year and some in, is no longer safe.
